WAWebHosting is a one person 'reseller' website hosting business. I offer what I consider to be commonsense, usefull plans for most people and small business; as well as providing friendly, helpful support to account holders.

Being a one person business, and as I deal predominently with the local area, it's simply not feasable, nor is it necessary to offer 24 hour 7 day a week support. Fact is, once a website is setup, it needs little attention or maintenance; but when you do need assistance, then I'm easily contactable via email as I'm online most of the day.

A little about me

After a work injury sidelined me in '98 from performing my trade of the previous 22 years, I decided to put my knowledge to use and start an online business (DIY window tinting aussietint.com.au ).

First thing I needed to do was learn how to build a web page. It's been a steep learning curve since then, progressing through basic Microsoft Publisher ('98) & Frontpage (2000) to professional level Dreamweaver (2004MX) & similar website authoring products.

I'm now reasobably proficient in HTML, and also 'dabble' in Javascript & PHP scripted webpages. Over the past few years I've built several other websites for myself, family/friends, community groups and local business.

Initially I had my own domain hosted on a standard website hosting account; with some features and an ongoing monthly payment to the host who carries out any 'back-end' maintenace that may be required from time to time. These sort of accounts are great for most people and business', and in all likelyhood what you are looking for, and what I offer.

In 2003 I discovered "Reseller Hosting", which is basically where I lease a chunk of space on a webserver from a hosting company, and then host all my own domains at a fraction of the cost compared to hosting each seperately. This also gives me the tools and ability to host domains for other people.

But once again, I had yet another steep learning curve in order to manage the 'back-end' of my hosted domains myself. I can now manage most aspects of domain hosting; however, if anything goes beyond my skills, I then have the backup of the main hosting company to support me.
